Canteens, accommodation, BAföG, daycare centers: As a partner of the four universities in Aachen, we accompany over 64,000 young people on their way through their studies on behalf of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Our goal is to create equal opportunities in education – this is also the motivation of our approximately 500 employees, who work for the Studierendenwerk in a wide variety of professions.

With the emergence of modern university centers, the need for new solutions is growing. The expansion of sustainability and digitalization as well as the promotion of flat hierarchies and fast decision-making processes are among our most important tasks in the redevelopment of future student living spaces. In nine canteens, seven cafeterias and four coffee bars, we offer our guests from Aachen and Jülich a large selection of healthy and varied meals that not only taste good, but are also particularly affordable. We offer our guests a wide range of international cuisine, tasty dishes from the WOK or grill as well as pizza and pasta.
Your tasks
Preparation of food and preparation of meals according to recipes
Personal responsibility in the assigned area
Compliance with hygiene, work, quality and safety regulations
Assisting with the serving of food
Proper stock keeping including checking the storage rooms
Assisting with the documentation, filing and archiving of documents (QM/QA/HACCP)
Your qualifications
Completed vocational training as a cook (m/f/d), specialist (m/f/d) for system catering or comparable training in the food trade
Professional experience in community catering is desirable
Willingness to take responsibility as well as a team-oriented and careful way of working
Ability to organize and deal confidently with stressful situations
Willingness to work between 6:00 am and 9:30 pm
