Your mission:
As Kitchen Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the strategic, organizational and economic management of our central kitchen. Your goal is to develop production from the current 3,500 to 6,000 meals a day efficiently and sustainably. You will mainly work strategically (approx. 70%), using structured processes, digital tools and clear key figures. At the same time, you also have a deliberate operational presence (approx. 30%) in order to effectively design processes together with the team.
Your focus is on quality, efficiency and profitability – supported by a strong team and a culture of responsibility.
Your tasks:
- Strategic management of kitchen production in collaboration with the team leaders
- Efficient capacity and resource planning, including shift models and personnel management
- Management and development of the kitchen team of up to 50 employees with disciplinary responsibility in collaboration with the team leaders
- Optimization and standardization of processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Purchasing and budget control: controlling the use of goods and supplier management
- Management and development of the team with clear processes and structured duty rosters
- Digital transformation of the kitchen: introducing new systems and analyzing key figures to improve processes
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality standards, including internal audits
- Cross-departmental collaboration with delivery service, purchasing, marketing and customer service
What you bring with you:
- Completed training as a chef with further training (e.g. master chef) or a degree from a hotel management school with a focus on GV/kitchen organization, alternatively: chef with further training as a hotel business administrator or F&B specialist
- Several years of management experience in communal catering or gastronomy (at least 8-10 years, including several years in a management position)
- Analytical and proactive thinking to optimize processes with foresight
- Strong organizational skills with a procedural mindset to ensure clear processes
- Strong leadership and sense of responsibility to develop a large team in a structured manner
- Digital affinity: experience with planning tools and merchandise management systems
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to create and develop structures
- Very good communication skills in German (native speaker level)
- Enjoyment of work and your fellow human beings
