Achstetten, with the sub-municipalities of Bronnen, Oberholzheim and Stetten, is the northernmost municipality in the district of Biberach and has a population of around 5,300. The independent municipality is located directly on the B30 highway with an access road close to the town. The towns of Biberach and Ulm can both be reached in around 20 minutes by car. The neighboring town of Laupheim is two kilometers away.
Our traditional community has a good infrastructure and a high quality of living. Kindergartens are available in every suburb. There is an elementary school in Achstetten. Over 20 clubs and organizations shape local life and contribute to the high recreational and leisure value with their diverse cultural and sporting activities and events. Oberholzheim is also the birthplace of the poet “Christoph Martin Wieland”. There is a “Wieland room” in the vicarage.
