Head of Central Purchasing (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Development and maintenance of a supplier network (regional AND national)
• Development and reorganization of the central purchasing department
• Conducting negotiations at eye level – also with large suppliers
• Cost controlling and food cost analysis across all locations
• Ability to standardize product groups without reducing quality
• Sustainability expertise (increasingly relevant for certifications, guest communication)

Your profile

• Commercial training or gastronomic training, possibly a degree (business administration, catering management) or equivalent professional experience
• At least 3 years of purchasing experience
• Proven experience in the catering, hotel or food retail industry
• Confident handling of merchandise management systems (e.g. FoodNotify)
• Knowledge of contract law and framework agreements
• Assertiveness towards suppliers and internal
• System thinking: wanting to standardize processes, not just extinguish fires
• Willingness to travel (visits to suppliers and trade fairs)
• Strong communication skills – the position is the interface between management, divisional management and suppliers
