Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- Responsibility for the entire galley sector: supervising and coordinating all work in the assigned department
- Ordering and purchasing food, cost and budget control, and cost analysis in collaboration with the Hotel Manager
- Planning and developing menus in accordance with established standards and budgets
- Implementation, as well as ongoing maintenance and improvement, of quality standards in accordance with all relevant hygiene (HACCP), safety, and environmental regulations
- Responsibility for the careful handling of all equipment and machinery in the galley
- Always available as a point of contact for guests regarding inquiries and complaints, and as a motivator for the galley crew
- Planning, organizing, and delegating special events in the galley
- Delegating service and vacation schedules in the galley department in collaboration with the Hotel Manager
Your Course & Your Talents
Here’s what you bring to the table:
- Professional culinary diploma, preferably a Chef de Cuisine diploma
- Experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a variety of settings or internal certification
- Additional courses or training
- Cost and quality awareness, as well as experience in handling customer complaints
- Good knowledge of English
- Specialized expertise, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure
- A self-assured, calm demeanor toward guests and crew members, as well as a well-groomed and clean appearance
- Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others
