KiTa Bremen, a municipal agency of the City of Bremen, is the largest provider of child day care services. With approximately 2,500 employees, we operate our 92 child and family centers. In infant care, preschool, after-school care groups, and playhouses/meeting places, we educate, nurture, and care for approximately 8,400 children. A bias-conscious approach to diversity and the active promotion of inclusion and participation are core principles of KiTa Bremen’s mission. Our children’s and family centers focus on both the children and their family environments and collaborate with local institutions and political bodies in the neighborhood, guided by the principles of neighborhood-oriented care. Fresh meals are prepared daily in our children’s and family centers. We place great importance on providing healthy nutrition for the children and on close collaboration between the educational and housekeeping staff.
