Your Job
Here's what you can expect on your journey with us:
- Preparing all baked goods (bread, rolls, croissants, etc.) on board
- Daily creation of a variety of baked goods for guests and crew
- Recording and ordering ingredients in the ship’s inventory management system
- Creating baked goods for special evenings, events, and to fulfill guests’ special requests
- Providing professional and disciplinary leadership to your team in consultation with the Executive Sous Chef
- Flexible work schedules in the bakery (day or night shifts possible)
- Contract duration for your first assignment: 4 months; subsequent contracts are possible
- Your career advancement is based on your availability in relation to the onboard work schedule and is generally possible year-round.
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Completed training as a baker and experience working in a bakery, ideally with some leadership experience
- Excellent knowledge of baked goods, ingredients, and recipes, which you enjoy sharing with your team.
- A natural leader with the ability to guide and motivate a team both professionally and in terms of discipline
- You are reliable and resilient, and you’re comfortable thinking outside the box.
- A well-groomed appearance and excellent manners
- Very good German and English language skills
