KiTa Bremen
Bremen’s Municipal
Child and Family Centers
- We Set Education in Motion -
KiTa Bremen, a municipal agency of the City of Bremen, is the largest provider of child day care services. With approximately 2,400 employees, we operate our 90 children’s and family centers. In nursery, preschool, after-school care, and playhouse/meeting groups, we educate, nurture, and care for approximately 8,400 children. A bias-conscious approach to diversity and the active promotion of inclusion and participation are core principles of KiTa Bremen’s mission. Our children’s and family centers focus on both the children and their family environments and collaborate with local institutions and political bodies in the neighborhood, guided by the principles of community-based care. Fresh meals are prepared daily in our children’s and family centers. We are deeply committed to providing healthy nutrition for the children and to close collaboration between our educational and food service teams.
