Your Job

In this position at sea chefs, you can expect a varied role focused on administrative scheduling and coordination of our SPA & Sports crew aboard the cruise ships we serve. At the same time, you’ll immerse yourself in the exciting world of seafaring!
After a structured onboarding period, you’ll gradually take on your own planning tasks and additional areas of responsibility.
Insight into your (future) responsibilities at the Hamburg office:
- Scheduling and Coordination: Creating and finalizing schedules for the SPA & Sports Crew aboard the Mein Schiff fleet as well as in the OCEAN SPA on Hapag-Lloyd ships, taking into account qualifications and operational requirements.
- Maintaining Schedules: Ongoing processing, updating, and meticulous maintenance of extensive Excel schedules, as well as coordinating the assignments of existing and new crew members.
- Last-Minute Changes: Flexibly and solution-oriented adjustment of the duty schedule in the event of last-minute staffing changes, as well as assistance in quickly filling open positions.
- Communication and Coordination: Regular communication with crew members via phone and email to coordinate work schedules, availability, and potential changes.
- Collaboration: Close coordination and collaboration with the sea chefs crewing department in Cyprus and the recruiting department in Switzerland.
- Additional Tasks and Projects: After appropriate training, assist with administrative projects as well as matters related to crew development, career planning, and occasional recruiting events.
Your Course & Your Talents
What You Bring to the Table:
- Completed business training or an apprenticeship or degree in the fields of hospitality, tourism, or human resources. We also welcome motivated career changers with administrative experience.
- Professional experience on cruise ships, as well as knowledge in the areas of spa, cosmetics, or fitness, is a plus.
- Good to very good Excel skills, as well as proficiency with Outlook and MS Office.
- Enjoyment of working with extensive Excel spreadsheets and administrative tasks.
- An independent, structured, and meticulous work style, as well as the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to maintain a clear overview even when faced with last-minute changes.
- Ability to work well in a team, strong communication skills, resilience, and reliability, as well as a confident and friendly demeanor.
- Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English.
- A confident and friendly demeanor, as well as good manners.
