Heidelberg University’s guest houses in Neuenheimer Feld (INF 370 | 371) offer a temporary home away from home, especially for visiting academics at the university. Our small team on site is the point of contact for guests as well as for host institutes/facilities and looks after guests from all over the world from the inquiry and booking, through arrival, during the stay to departure.
Your tasks
Checking apartments after departures and preparing apartments for arrivals
Creation of work schedules in the area of cleaning/janitorial activities
Instruction, coordination and control of the cleaning staff to ensure that the apartments are in proper condition (checking for completeness, correctness and cleanliness)
Instruction and control of janitor activities
Taking on organizational and administrative tasks on site
Your qualifications
Completed vocational training in housekeeping/hotel management or comparable knowledge and skills
Experience in housekeeping is an advantage
Good written and spoken German, knowledge of English an advantage
Good MS Office skills and knowledge of hotel management software or the ability to familiarize yourself with complex IT programs
Organizational and communication skills, sense of responsibility
Ability to work independently, friendly demeanor, team player
