Your Job
Here’s what to expect on your trip with us:
- On board the expedition fleet, this position combines the roles of crew member and chief purser.
- You’ll be a decision-maker with overall responsibility for ensuring smooth operations in the reception and administration departments, and you’ll report to the Hotel Manager
- Responsible for ship’s clearance, the ship’s cashbook, guest and crew accounting, guest and crew data, and the reception desk (front and back office)
- While on duty at the reception desk, you will be the point of contact for guests’ concerns and feedback
- First point of contact for the crew regarding questions, problems, or complaints, including during crew hours
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate your team of up to 10 crew members
- Term of your first contract: 4–6 months (can also be arranged on an individual basis)
Your Course & Your Talents
We’re looking for the best: you! Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
- Completed training in the hospitality or business field
- Several years of experience in reception or human resources, as well as experience aboard a cruise ship and leadership experience
- You’re reliable, resilient, and have no trouble staying calm even in stressful situations.
- A natural leader with the ability to guide your team both professionally and in matters of discipline
- A high degree of empathy and a willingness to listen to the crew
- Very good computer skills
- Very good German and good English skills
