Up to three lunch menus for up to 500 guests are prepared every working day in the company catering department of the Savings Banks Association of Westphalia-Lippe. The standard working hours in the 39-hour week are generally between 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (Mon – Fri). It is also possible to work in the evenings.
These tasks await you:
- Active participation in the preparation of hot and cold dishes in all areas
- Preparation of meals with a view to fresh, high-quality and modern cuisine
- Professional planning and implementation of menus in the upscale kitchen, canteen kitchen and banquet kitchen
- Refined and appealing arrangements of cold platters and buffets
- Ensuring careful handling of food, consumables and materials, equipment and machines with a view to sustainability, HACCP and use of goods
- Creating food and menu plans with corresponding calculations
- Training and support in the management and organization of the kitchen team
- Staff deployment planning, management, promotion and motivation of the kitchen brigade
You score points with this profile:
- Successfully completed training as a chef, preferably with further training
- as a master chef (e.g. kitchen/restaurant master chef),
- At least 3 years of sound and current professional experience in upscale cuisine and communal catering
- Very good knowledge of German regional cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine
- Creative ideas, quality awareness as well as taste and product safety
- Customer orientation, ability to work in a team, motivation and a confident manner
- Ideally initial management experience in a kitchen team
- Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and willingness to work alternating shifts
- Good knowledge of administrative work and IT skills in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Structured, organized and decisive
