Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- Responsible for the entire galley operations—supervising and coordinating all activities in the assigned department and delegating specific duties within the galley
- Responsible for ordering and purchasing food, as well as cost and budget control and analysis in cooperation with the Hotel Manager
- Planning and compiling menus in accordance with established standards and budgets
- Implementation, as well as ongoing maintenance and improvement, of quality standards
- Responsibility for ensuring compliance with all relevant hygiene (HACCP), safety, and environmental regulations in the galley, and for the careful handling of all equipment and machinery
- Always available as a point of contact for guests regarding inquiries and complaints
- Motivating the galley crew to provide excellent service
- Delegating service and vacation schedules in the galley department (in collaboration with the Hotel Manager)
Your Course & Your Talents
Here’s what you bring to the table:
- Professional culinary diploma, preferably a Chef de Cuisine diploma
- Experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a variety of settings or equivalent internal training
- Additional courses and training
- Cost and quality awareness, as well as experience in handling customer complaints
- Good knowledge of English
- Specialized expertise, ability to work under pressure, reliability, and creativity
- A well-groomed, self-assured, and calm demeanor toward guests and crew members
- Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others
