Your job

Versatility is your great talent and you want the same from your job? As Junior Disposition Manager Entertainment Services (f⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d) at sea chefs, you can expect not only a varied job in the entertainment team – you will also immerse yourself in the world of seafaring!

  • Ensuring the continuous staffing of entertainment positions on board the Mein Schiff and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleets (focus: manager and technician positions), taking into account the job requirements and specifications of the operational departments.
  • Creation and communication of deployment plans for the responsible positions.
  • Close cooperation and communication with the recruiting team, the entertainment crew on board the ships and external manning agencies.
  • Maintaining and optimizing the employee pool, including the promotion of employee development.
  • Contract and fee negotiations in the context of deployment planning in compliance with budget requirements.
  • Support with briefings and regular reporting on filled positions and relevant topics.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks within the department.

Your course & your talents

What you bring with you:

  • Completed studies (e.g. theater, cultural management, event management) or initial professional experience in scheduling, personnel management or in the cultural/theater sector.
  • Professional experience on board a cruise ship and/or in the area of scheduling/staff deployment planning is an advantage.
  • Interest and affinity for the entertainment, culture or theater sector.
  • Basic understanding of commercial work, e.g. in dealing with budgets.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills as well as a structured and independent way of working.
  • Organizational talent and enjoy coordinating and supporting staff/crew.
  • Ability to work under pressure, reliability and willingness to learn, even in dynamic working environments.
  • Confident handling of MS Office and willingness to familiarize yourself with new tools.
  • Good written and spoken German and English.

Please note that the position is limited to 2 years.
