We support the 58,000 or so students in the Stuttgart university region with services such as food, accommodation, childcare, BAföG and counseling. And we have been doing this for more than 100 years! In our 18 university-affiliated canteens and cafeterias, we offer our guests a balanced diet at affordable prices - around 7,000 meals are freshly prepared here every day. Your tasks

You will ensure the smooth and orderly running of our canteens and cafeterias and monitor and optimize them on an ongoing basis. In doing so, you pay attention to food quality, guest satisfaction and budget.
You will manage and support the 14 facility managers, the technical department and the warehouse and contribute to the development of the catering team. You will report directly to the head of department.
You will carry out and document regular site visits.
Take on the coordination of our special events and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
You will coordinate refurbishments and new builds together with the facility management on site.
You will be happy to contribute your ideas to overarching projects and thus play a part in the ongoing development of the catering department.
You will communicate with the universities and represent our facilities. In this environment, you will be involved in various working groups.
You will also introduce gastronomic processes, monitor them and adapt them as necessary.
You will also ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards and our HACCP concept.

Your qualifications

You have completed a gastronomic apprenticeship with suitable further training and/or a degree in business administration with a gastronomic focus.
You also have several years of professional and management experience in gastronomy, ideally in a comparable position.
You have sound specialist knowledge of HACCP, process management and project management.
You have an entrepreneurial mindset combined with a strong organizational talent, a sense of responsibility and a solution-oriented way of working.
Your written and spoken German and MS Office skills are very good.
In addition, your strength lies in communicating with guests, universities and authorities.
A confident and friendly manner rounds off your profile.

Remuneration according to pay group 11 TV-L (EUR 46,780 to EUR 62,670 p.a. depending on previous experience) plus annual special payment
Additional monthly payments of EUR 120 net each until October 2024 From November 1, 2024, income will increase by a basic amount of EUR 200 per month and from February 1, 2025, there will be a further pay increase of 5.5% on top of this
Employer contribution of EUR 2,560 to EUR 3,440 p.a. to the VBL company pension scheme (depending on salary range)
