Your job
As a Procurement Buyer & Process Specialist (f⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d) at sea chefs, you can expect a varied range of tasks in procurement – with a direct link to the shipping industry!
In addition to the operational supply of our cruise ships, you will contribute your enthusiasm for smooth workflows and digital processes and be involved in the further development of our systems and structures in Procurement.
The main tasks include
- Operational purchasing and logistics: supplying the cruise ships we support (river and/or ocean) in close cooperation with the responsible persons in the team and on board
- Order and invoice management: checking and initiating ship orders, checking invoices and purchasing controlling
- Participation in the optimization and further development of the systems used in the procurement environment (including CrunchTime and Oracle Fusion)
- Function within the Procurement team as an interface between Procurement, IT, specialist departments (e.g. Controlling, Accounting) and external partners
- Development, maintenance and optimization of Excel-based tools for data analysis – incl. connection to databases (e.g. via SQL)
- Creation and automation of reports and evaluations to support internal decision-making processes
- Advising and supporting colleagues in the Procurement team in the use of procurement systems and digital processes
- Assisting with the introduction and rollout of new system functions – including testing and training
Your course & your talents
What you bring with you:
- Completed commercial training or a comparable profile – ideally with experience in purchasing, logistics or in a maritime environment
- Interest in digital procurement processes and a good understanding of system-supported processes
- Initial experience in working with ERP or merchandise management systems is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of Excel (incl. pivot, complex formulas) as well as good overall handling of MS Office
- Analytical thinking skills and a structured, independent way of working
- Enjoy cross-departmental collaboration and the further development of processes
- Strong communication skills, team spirit and a high degree of initiative
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- A valid work permit for Germany (e.g. EU citizenship, Blue Card or other residence permit with work permit) is required
