Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- Head of Administration: responsible for implementing and maintaining quality and accounting standards, as well as managing financial matters and service issues for guests and crew
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations, instructions, and tasks issued by Shoreside Hotel Operations and the Hotel Manager
- Responsible for the ship’s clearance, ship’s cashbook, guest and crew accounting, reception (front office and back office), crew list, and ship’s certificates
- Understanding and adhering to company regulations, SOPs, and ISM as relevant to ship operations, and acting in the best interests of the owner and supplier
- Handling any passenger inquiries regarding accounting matters and preparing end-of-cruise reports and analyses
- Overseeing the supervision of service and passenger embarkation, disembarkation, and medical disembarkations
- Always being available as a point of contact and to motivate the crew in the department
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and delegating special functions within the department, as well as vacation schedules, in collaboration with the Hotel Manager
Your Course & Your Talents
Here’s what you bring to the table:
- Several years of experience in accounting, administration, and training within the hotel industry or onboard a cruise ship
- Administrative skills, as well as an understanding of costs, currencies, and quality
- Experience handling complaints, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to take initiative
- Computer skills in relevant IT systems, as well as Word, Excel, and email
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and, if possible, knowledge of an additional foreign language
- Reliable and trustworthy individual who maintains confidentiality
- Self-assured and calm demeanor when interacting with guests, crew members, and authorities
- Good leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others, and a focus on service and quality
