The Storytels Reception on the island of Heligoland is looking for a motivated Reception Manager (m/f/d) who will manage the reception area with commitment and professionalism and offer our guests a first-class service. Your tasks:

  • Organization and management of the reception: responsibility for the entire reception process, including check-in, check-out, invoicing and cash management.
  • Team management: Training, support and motivation of front office staff and ensuring smooth operations at reception.
  • Optimization of work processes: Analysis and continuous improvement of processes at reception to increase service standards and guest satisfaction in cooperation with the reception colleagues at Hotel Rickmers Insulaner and the operational management
  • Administrative tasks: Booking and processing of reservations in the hotel system Protel as well as close cooperation with other departments.
  • Ensuring quality standards: Monitoring and compliance with service, hygiene and operational standards as well as continuous improvement of quality.
  • Activities and offers: Advising guests on daily activities in the hotel and on the island as well as on tourist offers to increase guest satisfaction.

Your profile:

  • Completed training in the hotel industry or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in the reception area or front office, ideally in a management role
  • Friendly and professional demeanor and strong guest orientation
  • Knowledge of hotel software, preferably in dealing with Protel or similar systems
  • Ability to work in a team and organizational talent as well as a structured way of working
  • Language skills: German and English
