Your Job
Here’s what you can expect on your journey with us:
- As the first point of contact, you’ll be available to answer guests’ questions about wine and beverages and provide personalized wine recommendations.
- You’ll be responsible for developing and managing wine service, storage, and ordering across all F&B outlets.
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining and helping to design the wine and champagne menus.
- You’ll provide wine recommendations for the menus in all F&B outlets and train the wine stewards accordingly.
- For small, exclusive groups, you will lead and facilitate wine tastings on board.
- As needed, you will support the service team and restaurant managers in their daily operations.
- Term of your first contract: 5–6 months (subject to individual agreement)
Your Course & Your Talents
What you bring to the table:
- Training in the restaurant/hotel industry, as a winemaker, or similar, as well as certification as a state-certified sommelier (minimum WSET Level 2 or several years of professional experience in a similar position)
- Comprehensive expertise in wines and the regions where various grape varieties are grown
- Extensive knowledge of the harmony between beverages and food (food pairing)
- Strong service orientation
- Good computer skills (use of the point-of-sale system, cost calculations, ordering)
- Very good command of German and English
