The position is to be filled in the Department of Catering and Event Services from 01.11.2024. We are responsible for the physical well-being of all patients and employees at Frankfurt University Hospital. We cater for guests in the area of staff catering (casino, cafeteria) and also in the area of catering & conference service for internal and external guests.

Your tasks

Monitoring of work processes and daily scheduling of service staff in the area of responsibility
Production of:
Dishes and side dishes, desserts, etc. on the basis of the specified production data and the menu plan, taking into account the economic use of the products used for the various delivery points, consumers.
Buffets for special events and provision of the necessary equipment.
Working at the food counter and grill (front cooking), filling the food required for the external outlets.
Pre-production for the following day; other preparations for the following day, tidying up the workplace, assisting and supervising the assigned assistants in cleaning the work surfaces, work equipment and machines, e.g. confectionery machines, kettles, steamers, etc. in accordance with HACCP.
Proper storage of production surpluses and unused food.
Determining the food actually required for the daily needs of the area of responsibility and forwarding the data to the kitchen management for post-calculation.
Quality control in food production.
If required, working on the food distribution lines for patient catering.
Replenishment between production site, food distribution belt and external sites.
Set-up and service at special events.

Your qualifications

Completed vocational training as a cook with appropriate professional experience in company catering.
All work must be carried out in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, e.g. LMHV, HACCP, UVV, as well as the department’s internal work instructions for the individual workplaces and the current cleaning and disinfection plans.
Presentation of a valid health certificate.
Good basic IT skills in the program (Office) Windows XP, Excel and Word as well as SAP MM.
Experience with IT-supported cash register systems.
Physical resilience and ability to work in a team, flexibility.
Diligence and conscientiousness, discretion regarding confidential procedures.
Strong customer orientation and the ability to argue objectively and mediate with customers, even in conflict-laden discussions with customers, complaints or other disagreements.
Good written and spoken German.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
