The DW Casino is operated by Pro Funk GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Welle.
Role
Assist with preparing meals for approximately 1,200 guests daily
Work in various kitchen positions (e.g., cold food chef, pastry chef, sauce chef, pastry chef)
Serving meals during daily operations and at special events (e.g., banquets)
Creative cooking as part of a large, diverse team
Professional and hygienic handling and preparation of almost exclusively fresh foods (fresh regional ingredients, no convenience foods)
Sharing responsibility for hygiene and quality in the kitchen
Inspecting food for quality and monitoring its storage
Profile
Completed training as an assistant cook
Professional experience as a cook and experience in the banquet sector (special events)
Organizational skills and the ability to work in a structured manner across various positions in the kitchen
Excellent manners, a well-groomed appearance, and good hygiene in the kitchen
Good sense of taste
High level of motivation, customer- and service-oriented mindset, creativity, and a passion for the culinary arts; ability to perform well under time pressure and stress
Intercultural and social skills, and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary and diverse teams
Good command of German and English (minimum B1 level)
