Your tasks
- You will work reliable working hours between 6.00 am and 3.00 pm in the communal catering area of the Dietrich Bonhöffer senior center in Strausberg.
- Together with your team of 10 colleagues, you will ensure that our residents and external guests are well looked after every day.
- Your tasks will include preparing the food on offer and ensuring that it is presented, served, sold and delivered.
- You will support the kitchen team in day-to-day operations and help design buffets and catering offers.
- You keep an eye on occupational safety and HACCP guidelines at all times and implement them consistently.
- You work in a cost-conscious manner, ensure receipt and storage in accordance with regulations and take care of documentation.
Your profile
- You have completed training as a chef and ideally have experience in communal catering or gastronomy.
- You are reliable, quality-conscious and service-oriented – even in a structured kitchen environment.
- When dealing with people – whether senior citizens, children or people with disabilities – you treat others with empathy and respect.
- Ideally, you have a class B driving license to reach other locations.
- You share our Christian view of humanity and our mission statement and make it visible in your everyday work.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer Senior Citizens’ Center
The Dietrich Bonhoeffer senior center is located near the center of Strausberg in a spacious garden area. The Straussee lake and a variety of shopping facilities are just a few minutes’ walk away. We are fully integrated into the community life, the annual Stephanus Festival is one of the highlights and a good tradition in Strausberg.
