Would you like to actively shape the future of campus dining? In this role, you will strategically manage and develop our university dining services, combining our social mission with economic, sustainable, and quality-oriented goals. Together with a dedicated team, you’ll create attractive and modern dining options for students and staff and drive the further development of our dining halls and cafeterias.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning, management, and further development of university food services, taking into account our social mission and economic objectives, as well as reporting to senior management.
  • Responsibility for the further development and modernization of the food service offerings, as well as the design and implementation of target-group-oriented pricing and menu strategies.
  • Providing disciplinary and professional leadership to administrative staff, the warehouse department, and the kitchen management of the central cafeteria and its team; ensuring smooth operations in food production and service.
  • Continuous analysis and optimization of processes with regard to quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements (particularly food law, hygiene/HACCP, and occupational safety) and organizing corresponding training sessions.
  • Serving as the central point of contact for universities, internal departments, and external partners on all matters related to university catering.

Your Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on hospitality, hotel, or foodservice management, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of relevant experience in institutional food service/corporate catering, preferably in the public sector.
  • Service-oriented mindset and strong communication skills, particularly when collaborating with various employee and customer groups, as well as committees and government agencies.
  • Strong aptitude for key performance indicators related to budget planning, cost control, and process optimization.
  • Experience in planning new construction and renovation projects is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management/point-of-sale systems; familiarity with TL1 is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, results-oriented approach to work.
