The Sparkassenverband Westfalen-Lippe’s corporate cafeteria prepares up to three lunch menus each workday for up to 500 guests. The kitchen’s services range from providing meals for our employees and guests to organizing banquets and preparing fine dining for special events.
Tasks
Active participation in the preparation of hot and cold dishes in all areas
Preparing dishes with a focus on fresh, high-quality, and modern cuisine
Professional planning and execution of menus in fine dining, commercial kitchens, and banquet kitchens
Sophisticated and appealing arrangements of cold platters and buffets
Ensuring careful handling of food, consumables, supplies, equipment, and machinery with a focus on sustainability, HACCP, and cost of goods sold
Creating meal and menu plans with corresponding cost calculations
Training, supporting, and organizing the kitchen team
Profile
Successfully completed training as a chef
At least 3 years of solid and up-to-date professional experience in fine dining and institutional catering
Excellent knowledge of German regional cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine
Creative ideas, a commitment to quality, and a keen sense of taste and product knowledge
Customer-oriented, a team player, motivated, and confident
Ideally, some initial leadership experience in a kitchen team
Flexibility, the ability to handle pressure, and a willingness to work rotating shifts
Structured, organized, and decisive
