The Württemberg State Sports Federation (WLSB) is the umbrella organization for sports associations and clubs in Württemberg, with its headquarters in Stuttgart. The state sports schools in Albstadt and Ruit are the WLSB’s two educational facilities. The WLSB and its sports federations conduct approximately 1,000 training courses and elite athlete programs there each year. The Albstadt State Sports School hosts approximately 28,500 overnight stays annually and ensures the well-being of its guests seven days a week.
To lead our kitchen team at the Albstadt State Sports School, we are seeking, effective as soon as possible, a
Head Chef (m/f/d)
Albstadt State Sports School • Full-time (39.5 hours/week) • Permanent position • €46,000–51,000 per year

Your Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for kitchen operations and the “Klause” (in-house restaurant)
- Management of the kitchen team, including scheduling, creating work rosters, and budget responsibility
- Planning and overseeing food production with a focus on healthy and varied nutrition
- Developing creative menus tailored to the needs of sports groups and seminar guests
- Ensuring smooth operations in the service area
- Independent procurement and budget management
- Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team
- Compliance with and monitoring of hygiene and quality standards in accordance with HACCP
- Ensuring compliance with and implementation of occupational safety regulations
Your Profile
- Completed training as a chef or comparable qualification; a master’s certification in the food industry is a plus
- Several years of experience in a comparable position, ideally in commercial kitchens or corporate dining services
- Experience in leading a team and strong communication skills
- Willingness to work 5 days a week according to a predetermined schedule, as well as approximately 1–2 weekend shifts per month (Saturday and Sunday)
- Certificate of training in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act
- Proficiency in computer-based planning and organization
- Submission of an extended criminal background check upon hire
